What is the Problem?

The current Township Board majority (Gordon, Shink, Cicchella, Wojtys) has pursued an extreme “stop development” approach. This approach has led to numerous (lost) lawsuits and extreme financial pressure on the township. They have refused grants that were offered to improve the community, and squandered funds on hiring staff to duplicate work that is the duty of other elected officials. They even considered suing the Whitmore Lake School Board over a zoning dispute! As a result, the township is in serious financial difficulty.

The next Township Board must act responsibly to address the issues raised by the current financial situation.
